Birth Flower Portrait

It is thought that the concept of birth flowers originated from the Roman times, with it becoming a popular idea in England during the 1800's. Similar to birth stones and zodiac signs, each birth flower has some traits about it which can be considered to relate to those born in that month. I include a little info sheet about birth flowers in with each order for a bit of fun to read up on what your birth flower means about you!
Each flower portrait is made using free motion machine embroidery, where I use the sewing machine needle to 'draw' my design by moving it freehand, this fantastic process means that no two items will ever be the same.
These portraits are A4 ( 210 x 297 mm or 8.3 x 11.7 inches approx) and as standard come stretched over stiff card, making these quick and easy to frame. I also have a framed option in the drop down menu, the frames I use are deep set black A4 frames, with no glass in front of the embroidery. They can be shelf sat or wall hung.
The Natural coloured canvas I use does sometimes have lines and flecks etc in, this is part of the fabric. Please remember each item is hand drawn,so I will adapt the flower designs to create the perfect 'bunch'!
